The PERP Walk That Framed You

Hey LEX!
When I set out to write this newsletter, I never made a list or decided which stories I'd tell. I never thought I even had that many to tell.
But something strange, maybe even poetic happens when I write or re-read these after they're published.
I subscribe to my own newsletter so I can experience it the same way you do — unexpectedly, as it drops into my inbox.
It's like I'm trying to read my stuff through your eyes; what these newsletters might look, feel or sound like when they find you right in the middle of living life.
The strange part…
Stories I'd completely forgotten suddenly surface from the subject matter as I’m writing, reading or listening once published.
The poetic part.
Something clicks, connecting my present to my past in a way I never planned.
What a gift 😌
Because as much as I hope these newsletters are helping you grow, smile, remember and reflect, know that they're doing the same for me.
I hadn't thought about sitting in the back of Ms. Strachan's 4th grade class at the Roger School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania trying to learn English in decades....
But here we are.
So thank you.
